BIG DOME

During the Friday class on 24th Sept, we get another terrible assignment which we gonna build a 8 feet tall of big dome. I am the section 5, group C with 2 struts.

After class, we go to McDonald to take our lunch. Then go to the buluh site by Shi Jia's car for the bamboo struts.

27th Sept, Monday

In the Studio, Cik Wan told us how we going to do that. So we follow the step by step.

I make the end of my strut thinner so that can fit in my connecter.

28th Sept, Tuesday

Next day, the tube arrived and we need to measure and make a mark.

After that give to X-man to cut it according to our marks.

Next, we cut with ourselves in half so that to fasten the uncle work. He is quite pity for nonstop cutting for us.

We need to head it but not until the molten. Just to soften it.

After heated, have to flatten it.

Then use this big cutter to cut the shape round.

finally, we use this machine to make hole.

Finally done. Fit it in. Mine is very strong but look like other are not really fit or many of them put something in to tighten it.

Monument

1st class of after Raya holiday, Cik Wan want us to go Jalan Zainal Abidin to visit the Jewish Cemetery. So after class and lunch, we straight go to there by Rapid bus. That is raining day!! We drop in Penang Times Square and walk a journey of road. Finally we saw the board of Jalan Zainal Abidin.

After we go in the road of Zainal Abidin, the Jewish Cemetery is place in the middle of between the road ends.

Beside that, Cik Wan also want us to design a monument for ourselves that make of bamboo.

So this is my monument.

This monument is in memory of me because I am the richest man in the world next time.

Looking Forward

If the 2012 disaster really coming like the prophecy say, then I think I will prepare the survival kits with HBP friends guild by Cik Wan and other professional. After we done the preparation, nothing we can be do until the disaster coming. So during that time, I will hang out my entire life with my lovely friend and also my family, such as follow trip to all places around the world, watch live English Premier League and Spanish La Liga, then that time I want all my friends having party days and nights everyday so that we die also die in happiness. I hope a lot of people will be think like me and not always think negative and afraid to the news of disaster.

Next, if the disaster will not occur. Then I will continue my mission statement in my life which is to become a successive professional urban planner that wealth and happy in my life. So I need to gain a lot of knowledges from books and lecturers and maintain the hardworking form in my future. In addition, I also need to always appreciate the people around me because they motivate me and giving me challenging to grow up until now.

Looking Back

The first day I come to HBP I feel very enjoy because I meet a lot of friends which included almost came from every state. At the same time, I also keep look the pretty girl around me. Hahaha... But I am not available here already so just enjoy between the friendship.

When I start my 1st class in HBP which is the STUDIO 101. In that day I know a lot of my studio master and also our Cik Wan. Cik Wan look very nice and friendly in the beginning but after few classes we all scare to him. But I still very appreciate his knowledge.

In HBP here, I start to know what is Bamboo~~ Hahaha... I draw bamboo, cutting bamboo and also play bamboo to our instrument in this few months. I still remember before I try to draw, I tell my friends and myself about I don know how to draw. How I going to draw this and that. But because of part of my study, I try and I discovered that I can draw. Just I need longer time than others.

Making masks also are my unforgettable memory.

This 2 dots and lines picture let me know a very important theory in my life which is ''SUCCESS NEED PERSIST''.

After that, I also learn some basic of drawing like human dimension, freehand sketches, perspective, golden section and etc...

I also learn about teamwork in few of my project works. Work in a group of friend can be faster and more idea to come out. Yet, the time will pass with fun cause of talking and playing during the work. We also enjoy the work like Urbanity in Penang Times Square and the Youth Jam count down ceremony there.

Last, I cannot forget the 6 elements given by Cik Wan. There are very important that a successful thing must contain those 6 elements. The 6 elements are:

• INTENTION
• ACT
• PRODUCT
• ACTOR
• RULES
• PLACE

In another summary will be call 3P => Principle, People, Place

So as a HBP student, I will keep this all in my mind.

6A: Survival Kit

This time, we need to design a survival kit for 2012 disaster base on the invention gallery of USM. This survival kit will be the IBU which is the main kit of all normal survival kits.
After i read all the invention, i decided to few topics which suitable to my design:

• Satellite- Earth Link Propagation Study in Malaysia,2005
• WALLPro: A Load Reducing Geocomposite for Retaining Structures,2004

First, I talk about the construction of my survival kit. The floor will be using technology of Epoxy Hybrid Nanocomposites with the advantages of light and strong. After that, the wall will be using WALLPro technology because we can reuse the waste product of scrap tire. The advantages also suitable for the disaster season which are elastic and light weight.

So what is the important of IBU? My IBU design is focus on food supplying. During the disaster season, food is very vital for human being and yet IBU using Pumkin Flour and Cempedak Seed Flour as the bread ingredients to maintaining a better qualities of bread and also increase the dietary fibre content. So first, i designed a special baking machine.

This is the machine I designed.

So beside the food supply, IBU still is the main telecommunity system which having a big antena to control and remote every small survival kits. So I build the Satellite base on the invention of Earth Link Propagation Study in Malaysia 2005 on top of the IBU. So it can detect the weather condition and not effect the function within the bad sky condition. By the way, the technology of The Intelligent Realtime Network Monitoring and Surveillance to solve any problem or disturbance immediately. It allow engineer to monitoring all the system in the fastest way.

So this is my ideal IBU.

Merdeka!!

30/8 Monday

Morning around 4am we having a rehearsal, guided by Cik Wan.

This is my group member.

Around 4pm, we move to Penang Times Square by bus.

My group member and I enjoying the jokes inside the bus. Everyone are laugh until going crazy.

When we reach there, we need to prepare our 6 helium balloons. But because of too many people and too many balloons needed... We decided to go shopping and eat something so that can let our Malay friends finish prepare their balloons before they buka puasa.

When time around 6pm, we go back to our balloons station there. My group member and I substitute with Malay friends so that they can go find their food.

My job is pumpng balloons for my friends to tight.

I pump until the helium gas finish. Then I also prepare my own balloons.

This is my balloons and I am helping my friend to carry her balloons.

I tight my balloons with my Black Box. Yes!! It is floating!!

After that, we put our thing beside and hang out with friends.

When the time around 11.30pm, we prepare for our count down.

This is my group member. Bie Xinyu is not here because his job is different.

12.00am, we release our balloons and shout the MERDEKA!!

After the event, we go back to USM by bus again. Nice MERDEKA event, nice memory for my University life.
